Nighthawk Ranch Nursing Director

Because she loves children and any activity that involves the outdoors or horses, Shawn Maul is a perfect team member for Nighthawk Ranch. Shawn has worked in the medical field for over twenty years, twelve of which were as an EMT. She is currently an RN, certified in both adult and pediatric trauma (ENPC, TNCC).

Serving as the ranch’s Nursing Director, she assists with the review of each camper’s medical records and applications, camper intake interviews when the campers arrive at camp, setting the camp’s nursing procedures, and oversees the infirmary and the nursing staff for each camp session.

While living in Arizona, Shawn was a passionate environmental activist with several non-profit organizations such as The Center for Biological Diversity, the National Audubon Society, and Long Rivers, doing grassroots outreach, community education and awareness, and fundraising.

As a single mother, Shawn raised two amazing daughters, Ciera and Cassidy, who are both currently in college.
